Dates
in blog posts aren’t usually an issue for some readers as long as
the information in it still stands relevant. Then again, as the
status quo does change day by day with new trends and releases, a
matter as simple as putting a date on an entry becomes a
make-or-break element for online content.
One
of the reasons why blog posts forgo the date is because the content
is perceived to be universal enough to be considered “evergreen
articles”, such that the data will still remain relevant for a long
time. For these articles, placing the date of publication becomes
detrimental instead of helpful. It presents the risk of being
perceived as outdated, even when the validity of its ideas is not
